We have to leave Karaan
Our house/villa was located in Karaan (also called Huruwaa) . It was located north or kind of out side Mogadishu, but it was still part of mogadishu city. The rebels started to enter the city from that way , and the looting and tribal tenstions where big there ..
So for own safty we left the district of town , to live at Grandmother house in Central Mogadishu , which was more safe and people from our tribe was living there in their masses.
Family get targeted
My Grand Father gets shot, Thank God he didnt die , the bullet hit his leg ! He was a target since we was in the goverment.
One day mom was walking home from work , she almost got killed by mooryaan since she was wearing gold on her arms which they wanted , but she got saved my our soliders.
Adeero (husband of my eedo) gets shot , as he tried to save women in a house from mooryaan trying to raped them .. the bullet hit in the stomach , he died in the hospital the morning after AUN.
1990 , November . GoodBye Mogadishu
The city was not safe for us to stay anymore .. Our family was from the tribe the president and the goverment where from .. The rebels became to much , more and more of them was entering the city. Dad tell us to leave
1991 - Happy New Year - A year in different cities
well it wasnt so happy for us !! We know lived in Shalanbood .. but it was not good for us to leave there .. So we went to Kismaayo . it was a nice city we stayed there for a long while . but the war started to erupt even in Kismayo... We eventually went futher south like liboye
Hello Kenya
So we arive in the kenyan border , the kenyan soldiers let us pass without difficulties , since we said who we were . and so
Nairobi
We were welcomed to Nairobi , which was at this time a very beautiful city (not ghettoized like to day) Our OG side of the family were living there since the 1970s, we stayed at their hotel
Moscow , Russia
We left the motherland Africa , We come to Europe , the snow was everything i have memory form the snow . I was so amazed at it . mashallah. In Russia we started our new life , our relatives lived there . later on we moved to western europe

Re: Lets trade refugee stories
How was yemen

Re: Lets trade refugee stories
Yemeni people are generally good people, they are diverse and cant be put in same box, they are hospitable just like other Arabs, but i have previously said sexual harrassment in the capital is on a crazy level regardless of ur age. I did not notice poverty much cos i was young, but i am certain if i went back it would be noticeable.
Re: Lets trade refugee stories
