Granted he was an ex president and he will be in the history books but we're not in a history class.
If its not in our culture why are these sick people wanting to celebrate .. the ex president who killed so many innocent people ! ..
Double standards .. you dont mind the topic creator celebrating but when something bad is stated you start going on about culture
The double standards is our culture: Cay hadaad rabtid gurso, amaan hadaad rabtid dhimo. That's the whole point, speak only of the good never the bad.

But these threads are so predictable. MSB is praised, MSB is insulted, GSNM comes in, Emperior comes in, Ceydid is mentioned, SNM are mentioned, all Isaaq's come in, AW comes in, Voltage comes in, TL comes in, Sadeboi comes in, Grandpa and Qoraxeey and other cheerleaders come in, it turns into a turf war, someone locks it. So boring, get over it people

 We can celebrate as much as we want nothing to do with you. If you can't take it then simply skip the threads which concerns the late president aun, for he and his legacy will be remembered always. :som: :som: Allah ha ku naxristo aabe Siyaad :rose:

A man who killed of the country's few patriots (gabeyre*, caynaanshe*, Dheel*), just because he was intimidated by them, is no hero. He also turned men (Abdillahi Yusuf and Caydiid-AUN) who fought for their country in 77 against him for that same reason and put them in mandheera which probably haunted them for life.
He killed culumo who preached what allah prescribed in the holy qur'aan - which resulted in a plane crash following the incident.
He also did whatever he could to stay in power by all means necessary.

*(AUN to them all)

I don't think Caydiid fought in 77 war. AY was leading the entire southern army division which captured Jigjiga

I pretty sure he did, but anyway what I was trying to say was this:
Officers Mohamed Farah Aidid (Habar-Gidir) and Abdullahi Yusuf (Majertein) were each offered diplomatic posts abroad because they were not in tune with the new regime. When these two officers refused to be posted abroad, Barre jailed them for a total of six years which consequently led to Aidid suffering from a bout of nervous breakdown in Mandhera prison.

Yes, Barre jailed them in 1969/1970 and released them 1975. Caydiid was offered a diplomatic post at the Somali Embassy in India and AY became the director of the fiat factory, they both accepted their new posts after their release. MSB appointed him in 1977 as the commander of the army which would capture Jigjiga, it was remarkable cus he was 'just' a cornel and there were so many Generals but he picked him
