Last I checked most of these groups you've mentioned came to the U.S. seeking better lives, not fleeing a civil war as Somalis did. A good percentage of Somalis in the diaspora will return/want to return to Somalia provided there is a strong central government, peace and stability. Some Somalis might choose to remain in the West, but most are here involuntarily, with many Somalis living out of suitcases, their relatives and other family members still back home. Don't even try to compare us to Europeans whose sole reason for coming here was to establish a new identity and life here.
How do you justify taking pleasure in the suffering of Somalis living in war? Supporting lunatics like Godane out of clan loyalty, fully being aware his brand of Islam is flawed?

Except for the Irish the vast majority of those I've mentioned came after the first and second world wars.Anyway even if they did come for a better life since their economy has improved in their country of origin shouldn't they have returned according to your theory,my point was improvement of circumstances in the old country isn't alaways the factor in repatriation of a populace
These choices are made on an individual level for various reasons
The Irish and many other Northern Europeans came here seeking better standards of living, they blended in and settled in for good without many obstacles because many other Europeans were already here. They fit in just fine and saw little or no reason to return. They spoke the same language as those before them, they shared a faith, traditions, etc. What do Somalis who are non-English speakers and share nothing in common with Europeans be here for, provided they have a peaceful country to return to? Why would a 65 year old Somali woman who came from Baydhabo or Xamar be in North America or Europe for? Why would a widow with 6 children from Buulo Burde who neither speaks English nor has any job skills be in North America continue to live in misery? Why would any Somali who fled war still remain in the West, when he/she can just as easily return to the motherland?
Most Somalis did not leave out of free-will. We were forced out in a very violent way and those of us who suffered this fate never got a chance to make peace with leaving. To leave out of your choice and to leave by force are not the same thing, so that's where the difference between Somalis & Europeans in North America ends. When I see people trying to pass around the bullshit that we are all here somehow because of the modern allures & conveniences, and that some regions of Somalia/Somaliland are basking in prosperity, laughing & cheering for the prolonging of suffering in Xamar and many other regions in Somalia, I feel obligated to call them out on their hypocrisy and double-standards.

Bro I don't think any sane human being would jump up and down with glee at the suffering of their fellow Human beings.Having said that what you posted has'nt proved that improvement in the old country leads to a mass exodus by the expatriate community in foreign lands back to their lands of origin.And again except for the Irish none of the emigrants spoke English as a first language when they went to America.So the language related problems you talk about also faced these Europeans that went to America but they still stayed for whatever reason
