I take it you only read the threads title... no sxb, Faroole concerns are all legit points. Bare Hiiraale might not have any leverage but Faroole does and it makes all the difference when your dealing with the cripple and corrupt TFG. An attempt to sideline and worse yet cripple Puntland has been made, and no Faroole has no issue with Farmaajo since the man has already welcomed him, rather it's Sharif and his mentors that the state has an issue with, in particular his objection to the Galkacyo agreement signed between the late premier and Faroole and the drafted federal constitution which saw the late premier out. These though pales in comparison when you factor in Sharif's mentors latest plan to cripple the state internally and externally.

Faroole should be concerned about the TFG's increasing support of the subversive elements tending to destabilize Puntland and creating tension in the region; and he should extremely be concerned about the negative attitude that the TFG leadership assumes towards Puntland progress in the arena of public diplomacy, why should "the USA two track police toward Somalia" warrant criticism? It was twelve years ago that the people of Puntland decided to establish their own autonomous government and they still stand by that today. The only working relationship between the TFG and Puntland should be one which is based on consultation not dictation, Somalia is past the 21 years of dictatorship.

Let's not forget that it was the UN Secretary General special envoy to Somalia Augustine Mahiga who said, "Puntland has achieved success in security and stability that must be emulated by the rest of Somalia." I have no doubt the interested international community are left scratching their head once again as to why Sharif's circle want to antagonize a model state.
