what kenya was seeking for jubbaland was an attonomy within somalia, because it is the only thk that seem to be working for us at the moment, only in the last decade the somali population rose to 3million throughout kenya thats 10% of the overall population and that brings them a scare.
now a stable jubbaland will reduce somalis migrating to kenya and even encourage some to go back home which is what they want.
its a win win situation.

Kenya is not that serious about the Jubaland Initiative and saw this only as a back up plan if they could not convince the TFG officials to sign away Somali territorial waters. They are still working on the TFG.........the Lamu port project and the offshore drilling for oil in Southern Somalia/Coastal Kenya is the driving force of this project.

kenya is the only country that the paople of somalia ( especially the immigrants ) can live freely and engage in all their bussiness easily and without problems from the kenyan authorities.
so let us solve our own problem .

this will not happen, Somalis will go crazy if Kenya tries to annex anymore of their land.
