I don't know about you, but giving dawah is one thing, but tryna maintain a relationship with someone who has left the fold of Islam, and is adamant about their decision, all for the sake of keeping a relationship, does not make sense at all. They can go to hell for all I care.
If you have faith in Allah, then he can guide people who hate Islam let alone someone who is adamant in their decision. How can you care for someone, then wish them hell. If i am civil towards non muslims, have them as friends, then i can also maintain/adjust my relationship with family members.

There's a difference between how a Muslim is supposed to treat those who already follow another religion (i.e. Christianity) and Muslims who renounce Islam.

Their are some weak people. I go to a prestigious medical school full of rich cadaan kids and maybe sometimes I feel that I uncomforable telling them my parents are from somalia you know the country with the pirates and al-shabab but now I don't care as much.

But I try my best to never hide my deen thats even worse.
You are Somali from Somalia, why differentiate yourself from your parents. You are just strange, i hope you are joking for your own sake.
Yes but in my records it shows I was born in england so I am Black brittish, therefore my closest link is not even my parents it my grandparents. I could hide that I am somali to get away from people who may look down upon me because of terrorism and criminals in somalia thats all I was saying. But I don't ....

I have met Somali gaal ah, but to be honest with you this dude had no idea what Christianity meant. He was Christian for the simple reason of getting money from some priest who was financing his travel. He was also alcoholic.

Most of the people who left Islam are punks whose sh-t lifestyle would not be compatible with our beautiful deen. I say let them rot in hell and if they ever set foot in Somalia, I pray to Allah `Wiilasha` will get hold of them, find out who they are, and the eyes of apostates will insha'Allah see the sky.
