Well, if you truly are a Muslim you will abide by the shariah at all times, in all locations. If you truly and sincerely believe in Allah and his messenger and the infallibility of his judgment, you will not need a state to force you. Al Shabab and the Taliban don't make people better Muslims, they simply make people afraid of religion. Do you honestly think that a shariah state can actually force people to follow shariah, at least in their hearts? They maybe able to occasionally stone the powerless girl, or publicly humiliate a young wench here and there, but like all governments they can be easily defied. A Muslim is a Muslim because in his heart he believes in Islam and abides by the rulings of God. I support a secular government, but in my everyday life I am probably more shariah compliant then the lot of these self righteous imbeciles spewing their "holier than thou" b.s everywhere.

Fair enough, you believe a secular state triumphs a sharia one. But I believe a sharia state will always be superior.

There hasn't been a shariah state since the death of Prophet Muhammad and the righteously guided caliphs. Everything that has come after them has been a cheap and faulty intimidation.

grandpakhalif wrote:BlackVelvet you have made a grave mistake by uttering the words of the westerners. Sharica will always have a place and a muslim should never disown it. It is superior than all man made systems, Al Shabab and the Taliban are closer to it than the UK although flawed. You cannot pick and choose Islam.
I haven't said anything that isn't the truth. Shari'a can be harsh and that scares people therefore it needs to be moderated by those who can be trusted. Such people are non existent right now, therefore it is not being moderated, therefore it should not be implemented. You can disagree but you are doing so from the comfort of your home in America where no one is dictating your life to you and you have the freedom to insult the system that is keeping you safe at night, remember that before you get all worked up.
