I never claimed to be decended from a Arab Man before the DNA test or after the DNA test. You know what the funny thing is? I got the exact same dys codes except for one code from Your cousin Dawwa When He posted His real results. If a Marexaan here took it, it would be that close too. Somali clans exist, but I never for one second brought into the nonsense that Somalis are decended from Arabs.

Or could it make Him Reer Gedo? Even if not or whatever as far as I'm concerned You can take this argument and say in general all clans in the universe are bullshid. There is absolutely no way to make sure thousands of people actually do share a common anscestor somewhere down the road. The bottom line is tribes all over the world whether the people are blood related or not exist and they are not going anywhere. People fight in the name of these clans, die in the name of them, pay blood money in the name of them, etc. Do not expect to see a Somali in Garowe, or Baydhabo to send $100 plus dollars to National Geographic to find out if they're really from the clan they say they are. They're are hundreds of other logical arguments to abolish clannism but to say it is not scientifically sound, no Somali will accept that from You, just forewarning

i'm not one of those people who thinks clan will ever disappear, in fact i don't want it to disappear. clan and clan discussions/politics are interesting & entertaining and without it somalis would be a bunch of boring ass people. let's be honest here, it's because of those discussions that most of us post on snet & now that everyone is an al-shabaabist and/or 'religious' ( read: anti-clan) this place has become dead. as the former clan politics queen of snet who started the original "purity" topic ( ), i really do appreciate the entertainment qabil has provided me over the years but we need to be realistic and put clan into perspective. using clan as some sort of identifier is akin to asking someone if they're liberal or conservative -- it's all about politics. personally i feel closer to someone who has the same political views as me with respect to PL ( irrespective of clan) over someone who is closely related to me but wants death and destruction in PL. at the end of the day clan really is about politics and it seems like some of the newbies on here need to be reminded of that. we used to discuss qabil in joking manner, but it's uncomfortable when you see someone treat clan like a deity.. like it's something to feel superior about or fight over/kill someone for.
