South & North Korea were partitioned by force and will become united again like East and West Germany. Sudan isn't split yet.

Keep on with the irony.

Those are the supporters of Abdirahman Tuur. A small subclans of Habr Yonis aren't really supporters of Somaliland.

Don't forget that SSC, Maakhir and Awdal are all Pro-Somalia and Anti-Separatism.

As-Salaamu Alaikum,

Somaliland is a democratic country. It is built on concensus, liberty & harmony. It is united under the Tawhiid on its flag. The progress made is evident for all. Inshallah Somalia Proper will find peace.

Somaliland protects minority rights, be they in awdal, saxil, maroodi jeex, toghdeer, sanag or sool. Every one is entitled to their opinion. Majority of Somaliland citizens from Ceelaayo to Lowyacado want to continue to progress and become a part of or the international community. :D

on what grounds do Somalilanders want to be recognized?, its not religion, not language, not ethnicity? is it just tribe, because that is the only thing left, and the world is gonna laugh at you if you want to seccede on the bases of being a different tribe only.
How about the country your seceding from is still in anarchy and unable to produce a competent leader for the last two decades......does one need more of a reason or are you saying that the last 20 years in Somalia have been great?
think before you post.
well you no better than the millions of other Somalis suffering under it, why don't you take charge, and save your country instead of wanting to run from it, why are you waiting the South to be peaceful and make a government, why don't you make one or join others who are trying to make one.
Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me; history teaches us lessons the problems in Somalia since the 1990's can't be attributed to me or anyone from Somaliland; my house is well kept it's your responsibility to keep your house clean its not my responsibility; you should look up that word in the dictionary.
your living in a fairy tale world, you know damn well nobody from waqooyi will ever be given a chance to lead Somalia or build it.

It's like a New Yorker telling a man from Alabama to keep his 'house' clean?

Somalia consists of 18 united states/gobols. The man from Kismaayo has the right to live in Hergeisa as much right as the guy from Berbera has to go live in Mogadishu or Kismaayo.

If Berbera is burning, I can't say "That isn't my house, so fuck it". No, as a Somali, it's my duty that I stay truthful to my NATION, to help my people and my country, no matter what.

Somalia is my country, and Somalis are my people.

Samatr,

So you are saying, if you succeed and prosper and your own brother didn't do the same, you want to cut him off :? You will claim to be from a different family and you don't want to do anything with him?

No one is fooling no one here..All we are saying is if you guys in the North are doing good, share it with your brothers not by burning or throwing away your peace but by sharing your ideas with us..and by not claiming to be from a different society...You are one of us

Somalia Proper should look within for home grown solutions. The only way forward is for Somalia Proper to reconcile. It is high time to stop the fighting. No amount of wailing for Somaliland will change the reality on the ground. Time to put the baby to bed and discuss the way forward. Lets not live in denial.

Lets look at the previous presidents of Somalia since independence; history is a good teacher if people were seriously somebody would have thought and said hey somethings wrong here why don't we try a different approach and not elect all our presidents from the same regions.
I for one wish for the betterment of all Somalis no matter where they live, but that does not mean I want to be part of a country where I can't reach my full potential not because of my qualifications but because of who I am.
I have yet to meet a people who would support a country that deems them not capable of holding leadership; I know you wouldn't be part of a country that marginalized you for who you are and neither would all those people who are against Somaliland.
