to be honest, Somalis in the west are given and enjoy what a lot of the natives in their respected countries don't. and all we say is "gaaladaan" demeaning the very same people who gave us everything. clearly, this shows our deficiency in everything, from religion to common sense to everything good human beings would do. if we only knew our religion, we would have saved ourselves from a lot of trouble. but unfortunately we claim to be Muslims and do everything against the teachings of Islam. the prophet (saw) said whoever is not thankful to humans will not be thankful to Allah.
i am not even worried about thanking the west for their care and hospitality, but i am worried about how we have let them down about their expectations of us.
the least we could do is to lie and abuse the welfare system???
