The sad thing is, drinking among somalis became the norms now a day, they don't even try to hide it anymore, they'd order a glass of whisky out in the open, and they can't even hold their liquor like the rest, they get drunk after drinking very little alcohol, yck.

I'm Muslim and I drink from time to time (i'm sippin' on Ciroc with my lady friend as I'm writing this!) - what people need to realize for those who don't drink is that theres a difference between drinking to get buzzed/social drinker and being a drunk. Everything we do in life (or we don't do with some cases) needs to be done in moderation.

Is it haram to get drunk or to consume alcohol? if it is the later, then so many beverages/fruits contain traces of alcohol.
