^^Don't promote Divorce it is better 2 be unhappy than have divorce.
The Prophet (saw) said: The lawful thing which Allah hates most is divorce. This hadith shows divorce is among the legal things that are Halal but not good. It is Halal because sometimes the situation is so complicated that a man is compelled to divorce, when it is reasonable and there is no way out. Divorce is not good because it is a cause of enmity and also a cause of Satans delight. The commonly quoted hadith, Marry and do not divorce for verily divorce causes the arsh (throne of Allah) to shake, is a fabricated and daeef (weak) narration deserving no consideration. Before delving into the key areas of divorce, it is worth pointing out that Divorce is a serious matter with no room for mockery or treating it lightly. The Prophet (saw) said: There are three matters in which it is not permissible to joke: marriage, divorce and emancipation (of slave).

The best wedding is the one where u invite two of your freinds as witnesses, a not so greedy sheikh and a cell phone to ask her next of kin for her hanf. trust me, the babies Wouldnt ask u "dad, why did u bring us to the world on de cheap or why was mummy given a low profile weddinh"?

lol@ the guys now making this about "independent women". I didn't say don't get married without a flashy car or flashy wedding, I said a house and furniture that my dears is one of the basic human needs. So just to make it clearer, don't get married if you can't afford food or clothes either.

Really are you guys that broke or just baqiil?

If you're broke don't get married, if you're baqiil, don't get married either.

ps; There's a reason why Somalis say ninkaa aa guursadey, gabada waa la guursadey - if the girl is paying for the wedding, technically speaking ayadaa aa ku guursatey. From a feminist point of view that's a refreshing phrase but dhaqan wise that's foolxumo. The girls side generally contribute but for the girl to be the primary cost payer is an early sing of incompatability.

What you've missed: Nobleman is getting married - I made a topic "official Nobleman is getting married thread" and it got deleted. Warsan and I were wondering why, I thought the bride was Firefly (turns out not) or Londoner but apparently it's his cousin, is Londoner his cousin? Other than that, Fah and Xamuud gave themselves another dose of women's oh and Nabeela is the new head admin! Ciyaal and L2S are still shukaansing and Qoraxeey is now officially hot, Fah asked her to pm her photo...another SNet aroos? Oh and speaking of all this gossip, waryaa mentioned something about a gossip section being made

Oh and you should check out OliveOils thread on what kids say to teachers, had me in stitches.
