''The Hausa, who speak a Chadic Afroasiatic language cluster with the Niger-Kordofanian speaking populations in the phylogenetic trees (Figs. 1, S7, S8), consistent with the high levels of the Niger-Kordofanian AACs observed in this population on the basis of STRUCTURE analysis (Figs. 3, 4, 5B, 5C, S15, S24) and in keeping with long recognized linguistic evidence of Niger-Kordofanian influence on the Hausa, including 22 several salient loanwords, such as the word for meat (S128)''

^The Hausa are more like Niger-Congo groups, they are very different from most Afro-Asiatic speakers (like Berbers, Somalis etc), the genetics speaks for itself.

But Hausa genetics are closer to Niger-Congo peope than they are to Afro-Asiatic people.

I mentioned Mansa Musa last night in a thread, about how he was so generous and charitable. So, I guess, they think if they commercialize Gambia, Senegal, Mali, Nigeria, they'd be receiving some sort of reward.
