Why do you think she doesn't deserve it, you assume automatically that she is getting special treatment and not through her merit or skills?Richfarax wrote:@Noangst, Kufsade
Gentlemen. Gentlemen. Gentlemen. You can make all the hypothetical scenarios you want but at the end of the day it’s all wrong. Tell me who is to judge who deserves a job outside of reasons of merit and skill.
If this carries on you will all miss out on higher roles and promotions.
Why make fake situations I fell to this thrash personally. Yes me.
Affirmative action, screwed me out of a huge promotion its a flawed system that must be ripped from its core.

IRONm@N. To answer your question it was because, She is an unknown quantity I have never heard of her she just popped up out of nowhere. I would understand if someone more experienced got the job but not some unknown quantity getting the job for her looks and to fill a few quotas.
Whereas I worked my butt off pushing crawling for this promotion. I excelled as the top ranking member of the team. I noticed we have very few ethnic minorities and very few females in key positions. So to facilitate the lack of this they hire a young, female, muslim, black and from a poor ethnic minority to have this key position. Thus checking off 5 or 6 areas off this and only this makes sense.

First off you coming off as disgrantled old white man, speaking that way. If a muslim or Somali woman is hired at my job, I would be the first to welcome her and be happy about it, not see it as competition or be jeolouse about it. you properly won't raised all these hell if he was a white male or even a white female, and you would give her the benefit of the doubt, but since this one is a sister, you made assumptions that she is getting special treatment and don't deserve the position.Richfarax wrote:IRONm@N. And what is unknown quantity? you mean unknown person? so only people you know or are your coworkers qualify for promotions?
the person could transfere from another department or be hired because she worked for other companies or have higher degree than yours.

I don't know if this considered a scam or not, but a bunch of my Indian friends who had crappy English marks in high school are planning to attain MBBS over in India and just plan to take the USMLE when they come back to N. America lol. Is it that easy to be able to write that exam in the States?HalfBked wrote:Murax - I'd be lying if I said otherwise. With how rigged things are in this country, you need every little stepping stool you can find. Asians understand this and milk it. White women too. We're just beginning to understand it now ourselves. Southeast Asians take it even further through scams and cheats. A lot of times, their credentials are bogus, they have papers fabricated for them from back home and get in to programs that you could never dream of getting in to. They even found a way to pass the MCAT. Some of my classmates can't even formulate proper English sentences, but are there everyday, first ones in the lab, first ones queeing up to lick the professor's balls, first ones in the library and last to leave. Its about getting in at all cost and maintaining. All those stories about Asians being super intelligent? Its bullshit. They just found a way to manipulate the system to their advantage and play the white man.

Yes and be loveable loser I’m sorry ayan for thinking I stood a chance with you in the running for the job. You must have better assets than me oh wait you don’t, your just move of a minority than me. But congratulations nonetheless for being born. She is an unknown quantity since I never heard of her when I was pushing for this promotion she came out of nowhere. From some smaller branch whereas I carried my team on my back for many a month. She has no higher credentials than me she is simply young, attractive, muslim, and from a disadvantaged minority group – Somali.IRONm@N wrote:First off you coming off as disgrantled old white man, speaking that way. First off all your problem isn't her for being black, women and Muslim, its your Boss for not recognizing your importance to his company. instead of focusing the anger on your boss, you focusing it on your sister for being a woman, black and young etc, something that she has no control over.
you falling into these white trap, to make minorities compete for jobs against each other, and see a threat to each other. you are suppose to compete for your position no matter the color or gender. you should feel the same way when a white person is given the promotion, which I don't think you do.
May I ask which country you live? because it looks you have exprienced alot of racism and discrimmination.

This guy is still lamenting about the same issue again?
Look at yourself, son. There might be something wrong with your performance/contribution to your company so go & fix that.
