Actually this is not Somali Dhaqan I remember my adeer told me back in Muqdisho the women would cook for all the men, and they wouldn't even touch the food before the men ate. This is truly a lost tradition.

Cool,
Are you sick, unable to cook, or a rere? Why are you making something as small as cooking a big deal? And why are you generalizing? Honestly if my husband and I both work, I wouldn't mind cooking whenever I get home. Laakiin I would be PISSED if he got off at 2 and I get off at 6 everyday and he wouldn't even try to cook anything forhimself out of xaasidnimo waiting for me to do it.
Women are the care takers but I refuse to be your very own personal chef, housekeeper, and your everyday f@*! buddy. That's not what marriage is all about. You might hate it but the wifey didn't go to housekeeping academy. She did her time in school to do whatever it is she wanted marka marriage should be 50/50.. I can see your marriage collapsing soon.

Point numero uno, why is the wife’s occupation even stated? It is not a means of being the bread winner of the house, she is not even contributing to the house. That’s not work, that’s a hobby! Nothing more nothing less. No need to even mention that.
Side note, I used to play soccer a number of years ago but do I use that as an excuse for not cooking. Mind-boogling.
Point duo, as the aforementioned bread winner of the house. I agree it is unreasonable to work your butt of feeding your family and then being expected to cook that meal that is about to be feed. Astonishing.
~Debate over. The Rich man did it again, doing what he does extinguishing debates.

^Dude no one said he had to cook every meal. Cool is talking about not cooking period. I love to cook, so do many other Somali women. Guys like Cool shouldn't get all stingy with the cooking. That's all!

Yes I do see that. However, I don't agree with cooking when one is working all the time. If you are the breadwinner and paying all the bills I think its only right that the other partner does all the cooking.
Of course if a emergancy occurs or she is very very tired, take-out can be arranged.

WTF? She gotta be very very tired for ya'll to order take-out? Boolshidh! He needs to do his portion of cooking as well. It doesn't matter if he's the breadwinner or not, she can do like 75% of the cooking and he needs to do the other 25% plus help clean around the house, take out the trash, etc... Not just lay there looking stupid!
