I've never been to saudi arabia but I know a handful of people from there and each of them gave me the impression that women are not allowed to drive at all, traveling long distances you need a muhram (sp?) but I'm pretty sure women can't drive themselves to do grocery shopping===>thats what I was taking about.
I'm not a Scholar in the Deen. However, I personally think, when a Woman is given the ability to drive herself to anywhere, it might result in her getting into whatever that would please her Husband, thus it will break up families. Nonetheless, I think women should be taught how to drive a car, so that in times of needs, when no Muhram is available to help her, she can help herself achieve what she wishes.

Negro please, if you think your wife is going to do something wrong just because she has the ability to drive then there's no trust at all, what's the point of being married if your that paranoid your wife is gonna do something wrong?

No, you misunderstood me. A woman driving around the city by herself is at risk of being tempted, being attacked sexually or simply going wild. When your wife is around the mall, driving herself from one corner of the city to the other, then she's exposed to many things...alone. That itself, can bring destruction to families. Remember, you might argue that she has female friends with her, but that's against the Shariah Law and women being with other women, doesn't constitute for being "Muharam".

So, all in all, the more your wife is driving alone, with other female friends or just by herself...the more doubts will come into your mind. You'll be asking yourself...what was she doing there or here or there. You get me where I'm going with this?

You can't be with your wife 24/7, I don't know about you but there's no point in getting married to someone who you can't trust to be home alone by themselves or with their friends.
I'm not saying willingly send your wife off to weddings and other events women do with other women, but there should be some level of trust.
I wouldn't be surprised if you said you would not leave your wife alone at home because she might slip and fall on something

It wasn't a personal statement, but rather a general statement, dammit. So, I ask you this. Did women ride Horses during the Prophet's time? :|

Alhamdullilah, sharicatuul Islam is already being implemented in most of souther somalia, by the grace of Allah the most Gracious. We have gone through many stages and our final phase has arrived from democracy, too communism and tribal fiefdoms. Today we have not achieved sharia law persay in a perfect manner, it needs to be more just and we need to tweak more but all in all the base is there.

Of course I would be jealous.  If the pet has an exception tongue that can lick well and has exceptional fingers, then that pet will NOT enter the den that shelters my wife.

do some research I'm sure you'll find the answer your looking for, but do it with a clear mind; meaning don't have any preconceived notions while doing research because sometimes the answer were looking for is not what were trying to hear.

Yes, in some aspects I wholeheartedly disagree such as the execution of rape victims and rash decisions to stone thieves who probably were too poor and should be given amnesty. I'm not the inhumane monster this forum portrays me as.
