i don't think it's a Somali thing but i think Mostly the Sufi's do the subcis.

the Ikhwani dugsi's i went to didn't do no Subcis. :|

:lol: I know man, it was embarrassing for one to get hit too because kids laughed each time you get whipped.

Nabeela- everyone gathers in a big circle, you choose a juz to read and get your subcis on. My dad is a member of a subcis club, or at least I call it subcis club because they do it every weekend 365 days a year.

I was never good at subcis and always got whipped smh

I attacked the macalin once after a strike that lit back on fire and he wiped the floor with me, went home and got more from hooyo :lol:

Subcis made duksi more fun. I heard of people who used to read As Shams together and all say the "Ha" together at the end when someone was getting a beat down. Wish I had seen that at my duksi. Though somehow it seems wrong

Pakistani duksi is peculiar.
