Im about to marry a Somalilander girl, and Im a non-Somaliladner. So she would [hypothetically[ lose her Somaliland citizenship, if she had one.
So if me and her start a family in Somaliland and our kids are born & bred there, can they enter the political scene, even though our kids are not Isaaqs. They are what I am.
The blatant sexism in that Constitution is incredible.

If she accepts his citizenship then she loses her Somaliland one, from what I have read Somaliland only accepts dual citizenship for Somalilanders who gained their first citizenship before getting a chance to claim their Somaliland one.
So the point is her losing her citizenship is dependent on her accepting a foreign one and this has nothing to do with physically leaving Somaliland.
Lets say if a woman marries a kuwaiti man and she moved to kuwait and she will accept his kuwait citizenship and moves there she will lose her citizenship.
If she divorces her Kuwaiti husband, will she get her Somaliland citizenship back?
Why are women tied to their husbands in terms of passport and citizenships.

Only if in Kuwait all foreign women married to Kuwaiti men are forced to accept Kuwaiti citizenship then she will be forced to chose between the two.
What it says in the constitution, if you have read it, is just that. There is typical Somali sexism in the constituion, e.g. only your father being Somalilander means you inherit the citizenship, if it is the mother then she has to say the chid is a bastard so that she may be awarded the same right. It is sexist and if you want to point out negative stuff they are there in abundance but don't go making up stuff. If I am misunderstanding then please copy and paste the article.

lets not be maskiin abaayo..if they dont allow a man from mogadishu to be their president we wont allow them to be president of soomaaliya. for example can i be a president in djibouti or somaliland the answer will be NO .. as long as they are not part of soomaaliya they cant be a president of soomaaliya
