After suffering for so long in this endless brutal civil war with foreign countries manipulating it, I don't think the solution is foreign occupation and foreigners grapping pieces of Somalia. I support the Somalis in Jubbaland forming their own Jubbaland State of Somalia after Al-Shabaab is defeated, but foreigners occupying taking our territories, that is dnagerous in my view. Voltage, I don't understand what is so special about being part of Kenya? I don't see Kenya taking care of its poor, an I don't see Kenya offering free education to its citizens. All I see is higher unemployent in Kenya. The only thing that is going for Kenyans is stability; but for us, Somalis, that stability was denied by those foreign countries who are backing Kenya today for this new adventure.Voltage wrote:And what in the world is wrong with that? The greatest thing to happen to Jubbaland will be to be annexed by Kenya.udun wrote:Kenya wants Jubbaland for itself with the support of the western governments.
Today, Jubaland is going along a similar path.
Kenyan patronship is the future for Jubbaland.

Unemployment is a luxury we can't even worry about right now. It is like telling a man who doesn't have anything to eat whether he would prefer a gourmet meal or fast food. And besides Udun you are the biggest supporter of Puntland on this site, a virtual client state of Ethiopia. At least Jubbaland will be under Kenyan suzerainty with the positives of this circumstances explained in my opening piece.

The only thing you and your ancestors share are being good liars and supporting foreign invaders.

It is a sad reflection the only thing you have managed to share with us is how to expedite our interests through the use of external actors.Username1 wrote:The only thing you and your ancestors share are being good liars and supporting foreign invaders.

Even if they may not carry with them that historical baggage Kenyan politicians are still human who are susceptible to emotion, prone to evil and will carry out any actions which favor their interests, also any baggage may only be non existant vis a vis Somalis, but they can make enemies quick; Any person that's been to Kenya can tell you that Kenyans are divided into tribes and their violence are even worse than the Horners in respect as evident of the massacres carried out in 2007, where civilians hacked their neighbours to death with machetes simply because of an election results, could you imagine the Somalis doing such a thing to another or even the Oromos to the Tigrays
This same nation that you glorify are a historical enemy and their civilians and media werent that fond of Somalis only back in the 80s, consider this in the early 60s they lobbied Britain to force Somali people (who favored Somali unity) in the NFD region to stick with Kenya ( no different to what Selassie did) and when the Somali North eastern party sought Union they carried out repressive acts. Throughout the decades in the SHifta war the government closed off the region and carried out repressive actions against the civilians and periodic massacres, ask any reasonable Somali person from thr NFD and he will explain this to you.
Lastly why do you expect another nation to govern you? you wouldn't want your friend to clothe you would you? No matter how difficult it may seem its more noble and just to pursue your own interests than succumb to the one of another.

We all know Kenyan troops can’t stay in Somalia without the support of border clans that are now propagating their entrance, and if those clans who already well armed rise up and refuse Kenyan presence on their soil they will simply leave without much choice left for them , but what is important to debate is what is the long term interest of Kenya in rich souther regions of Somalia.
We know in the eighties the government of Somalia have done oil explorations and the result showed there were large deposits of natural gas fields from Gerileey to near Kismayo villages, and recently some unknown group of oil explorers found large fields of oil sitting beneath the ocean from Baraawe middle shabele to Buurgaabo near the border of Kenya.
What I am most afraid more than Kenyan Bantu is the Chinese that recently flocked into Kenya looking for to exploit natural resources of this nation, what if these uneducated skinnies that yesterday signed and authorized Kenyan troops to enter the country may again sign the natural resources of this region to the Chinese and British companies that already signed contracts with Kenyan government.
Isn’t it bit sad later on we end up few rich Somali that aligned with the Kenyan and their allies doing well, but the majority of the people of the region never seeing that wealth, just like how south African apartheid government behaved in the past.

mahdi your survival is at stake yet you want to count the chicks before they hatch.
charity begins at home and it is very strange that a secessionists in the North are very concerned with this new developments with their empty bravado of nationalism.
