I am very nostalgic tonight.
Do you know where I can get the original of the song sung by Birimo (cover) which goes like this;
Ma nafteydaan midi geliyaa
ma aduunkaan ka maqnaadaa
macno ii ma laha aduunka.
I think it was sung by Gaduudo Carwo.
And could you also post the video of Boqoradii Faadumo Qaasim and I think Maxamed Aweys Geedow;
anna adlee iga maqneed
Maantaa ku helee iilamree
Meehii Rabtidee
Ana adlee kumaagyaa
kuu murgoodayee
Maanta muraadkayga waan helee
anna adlee iigamaqneed
Maantaa ku helee iilamree
Meehii Rabtidee
Beejka labaad
Waa muragee
Meel oo rabinee
Maalin jacaylka soo martay
Miirkayga gashee
Sidii markaas Mashaqaan ku jiree
Ana adlee kumaagyaa
kuu murgoodayee
Maanta muraadkayga waan helee
Anna adlee iigamaqneed
Maantaa ku helee iilamree
Meehii Rabtidee
Maandaranaa
Maano aabahaa
mooro xalaal nin kuu rabaa
kuula maaganee
maanta xumaan
loo soo ….
Anna makaankiisa udhaafay
Meel iga macaan aan helay
oo miirkayga u roon
Ana adlee kumaagyaa
kuu murgoodayee
Maanta muraadkayga waan helee
Anna adlee iigamaqneed
Maantaa ku helee iilamree
Meehii Rabtidee
Isn't Miiraale from the US? I think he came here doing a "tour", recorded few songs here & left; don't know.
Plus, no offense but I am not a great fun of Birimo. There's something I didn't like about her even before I saw her videos, back when she was new. And no, I don't know that song.
And the only bit about that Faatma Qaasim (AHN) & Aweys Geedow (is he alive horta?) song I found on Youtube was this small part among this collection about Faatma:
PS: It starts from the 6th minute mark.

Twist,
Aweys Gedow is dead. He used to sing in the 50s and 60s. I don't like Birimo and the rest of the Intellectual property rights thieves; at the same time, they have made old songs available to the new generations.
I watched a video of Miraale singing Nuur xalweyste song. But, he could have come on tour.

Yh but all these names are new to me. I remember the songs from my dad's car when I was young. The tape recorder in some rooms in the house. Duqa "old is gold" is the saying.

Ok, I do remember these songs from my dads "istiiriyo" which he bought - together with a seiko watch- when he went to Haj. and of course Radio Muqdisho.
When I fled somalia I took with 145 cassettes containing many somali songs.
Accident, the average on somalinet (I think is 30).

It's either Seiko or Casio. I still go for those brands. The average age is much lower than that. My Aunt took a whole bag of cassettes when we fled the war.

Yeah, in the 70s and 80s you should have a seiko watch, a stereo and a shirt called "Azarro" and a perfume called "one man show" in order to flirt.
Ironically, Azzaro is one of the most expensive brands today.
The average is age 30 ; the women are older; 35-50 is the average of the women in here. This is lamagoodle science

Sxb that's flawed science, you can't tell me I hit on islaamo.
I thought Azzaro is a perfume brand. I have a bottle here along with a One Man Show. I got it as a gift from my Uncle who visited from Saudi Arabia.
