Right now we can't talk to any one when somalia is stateless any how I don't support alshabaab they irhaabis and they need to be destroyed these people are evil they killed 70 somali students wa duul diinti ka baxay but you need to defeat them not kenya ethiopia kenya and ethiopia will kill yourre people only further safe you're people from destruction get rid of al shabaab and foreign countries
A strong Somalia means Somaliland becomes a rogue state within a state in the eyes of the IC bro, you and I both know it. Right now, the only thing that legitimizes Somaliland (and Puntland, to an extent) is the rest of Somalia's state of lawlessness and the hope that SL & PL will be the foundations of an eventual Somali state. With the establishment of a strong central government and an end to anarchy/terrorism in Southern Somalia, SL's refusal to rejoin Somalia will be seen as an obstacle to peace in the eyes of the world imo. Therefore, every patriotic Somalilander should hope for continual warfare and anarchy in Southern Somalia. Losing the "get your house in order first, then we'll talk" card would be devastating

@Saraxnow, if you don't support the eradication of Shabaab in S.Somalia, what should I call you? :?

The international community has installed some dual track policy to deal with the tfg puntland and somaliland there won't be a central state puntland does not want that they want some sort of confederation with somalia, somaliland want total independence the somali model what you have in you're mind will never exist . This is not what we want but its the reality somalia peace and stability under one authority is needed we need to talk to you for our independence it has nothing to do with legitimacy somaliland is practically an independent state what we need to do is discuss the official things somalia is not going to oppose that you have now and days tfg ministers accepting somaliland soverengty. We are moving forward alshabaab is the obstacle to peace they need to be destroyed they are. Wasting our time you know we need to get rid of these irhaabis than we can get things done

The dual track policy isn't meant to legitimize secession, but meant as a bottoms up approach to state building in contrast to the failed model of centralized governments manufactured in Djibouti or Nairobi. The hope is to develop SL, PL, GM, AS, JL (and the institutions they've built ) to become the foundations upon which a legitimate Somali state can be built. Regardless of the political model used to reconstitute the Somali state, the IC has never wavered from its commitment to an eventual unified Somali state. I personally am a supporter of SL's independence following a referendum and demarcation of borders in Sool and Sanaag, but if you seriously think the dual track policy is a tacit acceptance of SL's independence, you're even more delusional than I thought  If we're being honest, Abkhazia at this point has more legitimacy than Somaliland, regardless of Somaliland's achievements, history of relatively free democratic elections, or relative stability. It might not be fair, but that's the world we live in.

As for Shabaab, while you might not agree with their methods or sympathize with their positions, their war in Southern Somalia has an unintended effect in maintaining Somaliland's relative stability.

Ximan, that's unnecessary saaxiib. Let's keep the discourse civil :|

Ximan xaare defending his bantu brotheres boon foqol boon waa inoo iyo hadhow ximan xaare

Based I did not say the dual track policy was a policy was some sort of legality to seperate somalia well it will eventually break somalia into weak federal states and somaliland as one entity we are talking about the end goal as for you're other point alshaab keeps somaliland stable somaliland was stable before alshabaab it does not make sense

Puntland wants more and more autonomy I think even if oil iis drilled there they might declare independence

So you accept the fact that SL is considered under the dual track policy as a region of Somalia and not an independent nation?

As for the relative stability point, I didn't mean that SL is stable because of Shabaab. I meant that you'd lose your status as relatively stable with a peaceful Somalia. If everybody is equally stable, what would distinguish you from any other Somali region?

In that case, why wouldn't you support war in Southern Somalia? How could you use arguments like "get your own house in order first" if we actually do?

Get you're house in order for one reason only the faster the better to make the seperation offical adhaxda u kala jabi what's the point of you fighting foreign countries for years to come and against alshabaab but sometimes the world wants it this why. Because its in the interest of ethiopia keep somalia busy with war keep somaliland unrecognized they don't want to see any of our two countries prosper but weynu ka dkan inshalalah

I think your concern for the peoples of Southern Somalia is disingenuous.

As for Ethiopia, if you believe they're detrimental to SL, ban them from using your port and stop supporting their occupation of Western Somalia.

but then again patriot is a kenyan he does not really care if Somalis in Somalia die because of the atrocities the kenyan Mercenaries Commit in Somalia do you know how many innocent civilians were lost since this war
ironic coming from an idoor who wrote letters to the jews to help them wipe not only somalis but muslim from the face of east africa. ironic too coming from an idoor who used ethiopian weapons to destroy their own country and divide his country men into qaabil lines. wallahi the idoors are getting nervous for a reason but i wonder why...........??

Somalia's greatest enemy is tribal autonomous regions (Punthiopia and Somalidiid Isaaqa) they want to Balkanise Somalia and that is why they hate and fear a strong, unified government.

Basically it's
we can get our @#!*% together right now and haven't been able to do so for the past 20 yrs, we've contracted the least capable military force in the region to do the job for us . The only reason you somalilanders are mad is because we are on our way to acheive peace and if/once we get there the international community will see you as an "obstacle" to peace for not coming under our authority
The same delusional absame dooros who've destroyed the country they once called theirs, incapable and engrossed in self , what a sorry sight .

Ximan, tarikh da miyaan ku soo kooba anigu? markaad aniga "british lackey" igu sheegayso , waxaad ahayd miyaad ogtahay adigu?

You live in an ideal world. Accodring to my experiences, the opposite is in fact true. For example, in Kenya...the Kenyan Somali police are usually the worst. At least you can bribe the others. They have a hatred of Somalis from Somalia. Of course not all..but I have noticed this disturbing trend. E.g in Garrisa they snitch on refugees that are crossing the border and report them as illegal immigrants.

I guess they really to identify with the Kenyan statee.
