Religion explains the why, science explains the how!!!!! Evolution isn't a theoy that attempts to explain the Mechanisms creation, only the mechanisms by which it grows.

but I have a hard time believing that a human from 30000 years ago, is much different from me in almost every way. Just like how Native Americans from the most southern depths of South America, a child pure in lineage from who I don't share a common ancestor for 10's of thousands of years is hardly any different than me except superficially.

Perhaps those ancient ‘humans’ were a different type of human than you and I, primates very close to us in genetics much like chimpanzees, but still alien enough to be a different species.

religion and politics, I don't understand how you can make such a statement. The pope is the head of a state, where his state unofficially has territory in a lot of countries (cathedrals), he must secure his state within a changing world, and he can't alienate potential members.

the pope was elected because of politics not because of his scholarly works in theology and other religious matters. Also, if your a muslim, what does the pope have to do with you? Pope believes in trinity and so you going to take his word for it?
