On serious note how many generations do u count from Sheekh Darood to the Prophet...
If I take a generation as 3O years sheekh Darood lived 47 *30 = 1410 years ago.
So Sheekh Darood was contemporary or 1 generation after the prophet ...


In my opinion if u count more than five generations between Sheekh Darood and The Prophet ..there is something wrong in your genealogy!

I count 34 to Daarood, not 47. He lived roughly around 1000 ce if my math isn't off. However, I don't believe that Daarood was a descendant of Banu Hashim or any other Arab tribe. I think he was just the first of our ancestors to become a Muslim.
