Then a good idea for Somalis is every single clan can have his own country, since you all claim we are not related nor do you want a united Somalis.

Avicenna wrote:When did Maay become another language? If anything, maxaa tiri originated from Maay according to most scholars.

Languages usually follow a universal pattern of spreading i.e. from agricultural communities in the hinterlands, to marauding nomads who come in to contact with these communities. These nomads then take these languages with them and pick up other dialects and tongues along the way, in the end producing their own unique language. Maay is spoken by millions between the two rivers, which is the oldest settled region in Somalia. If you lack common sense, don't try to shove your "Northerners speak better Somali" b.s. down our throats. What you speak is gibberish compared to authentic Somali.
Af-Maay is a creole language of South Oromo (Boran) and Somali, i.e. not fully Somali.

why are we trying to force each other to accept that we are somehow all related, nigeria has over 200 languages and most of them are very close whereas some aren't. The issue here is that multiple languages are spoken in somalia: somali, maay maay, tunni, baraawe even madhiban have their own unique language.

Good point. Some people have this notion that if (example) af-Maay is classified as non-Somali language, it will make its speakers non-Somali. They make it like what's holding Maay speakers to Somalinimo is due to af-Maay being af-Soomaali.
