Amilla 20 years off civil war and a dictator before that the innocent civilians have seen it all, if we say lets persecute where will start and where will it end? Somali people will have to shut their eyes to the past for bit to move on because its too painful to look back.

Coeus wrote:Pirates talking about patriotism. The sam patriotism that led to a speciell man startinga rebelmovement against his own country aided by Ethiopians. This thread is a joke.

A country led by a dictator who massacred innocent people in Mudug. We are more patriotic than you, that is for sure.

Of course this thread is a joke, it was started as a mockery Einstein

What the hell are you talking about?

Somalia got its independence in 1960 and shortly after in 1969 Siyad Barre's regime come to power. Siyad Barre ruled most of post-independent Somalia. Yes, before Siyaad Barre come to power the country enjoyed relative peace. Siyad Barre ruled long, blooded 21 years which was the longest that anyone has ever ruled.

You are confusing. Are you saying that SSDF ruled pre-Siyad Barre era? elaborate more on that :? I don't understand where the whole "we are all enjoying the wonderful democratic rule of SSDF" comes from. SSDF, come to power in 1979 ( a decade after Siyad Barre come to power) because Siyaad Barre's government was oppressing people. He imprisoned anyone who dared to speak against him and send many leaders to exile. He ordered a genocide a against a whole tribe ( Mudug genocide) and innocent civilians was massacred because of tribe. Siyad Barre was no angel, I just don't understand why you feel the need to defend him. His legacy stands on it's own and it doesn't need people like you to defend it.

Furthermore, this thread is about Sharif and TFG stop trying to derail it by interjecting things that doesn't pertain to the subject at hand.

I believe Faant was saying that despite the Kacaan government's repressive tendencies, the post-Kacaan era of anarchy, warlordism, famine, piracy, and terrorism is infinitely worse. The multiple rebel groups claimed that if Siad were to step down, they would return Somalia to democracy and justice but obviously that did not occur. I doubt anyone could argue that Somalia is better off today than it was in, say, 1985.

Somalia has proven that a bad government is better than no government imo.

But I agree about not derailing this thread despite my post
