Horta there is no question about the fact that Somalia's stock is rising, many countries are involved and many more will be joining up... We all know the integrity of the British involvement. what we don't know yet is the main reason for all this late action.
What I do know is that we need Britian for many reasons, one of them is the simple fact that with the English activity on somali soil, there will be less American involvement on the actually ground.. turkey has too many enemies that can jeopardize the results.. Britian is not in a position to dictate somali affairs for the long term...

Actually, I believe they are there but recently came like within January of 2012. High level Ministers don't just visit a place like Mogadishu without already have their own boots on the ground.
That's normal. Even the Turkish PM came with his own troops; but are they based in Mogadishu? I don't think so

I agree with Voltage's assessment. Are the Brits, just like some Arab countries uneasy about a possible growing Turkish influence in the horn in years to come?

Britain is Somalia's greatest enemy who have been behind the greatest disasters on the Somali people: the annexation of the Hawd, Ogaden, and NFD to Ethiopia and Kenya

Why are we welcoming them in our capital than? And Why are we going to their conference?
We are in no condition to resist anyone. Somalia became the Crack-head bitch in the Horn that is willing to do anything for a little attention and $$$.

We already fail for the British Rat Trap!. Even Siilaanyo and his rebels that have never sat in a Somali Conference, are being forced to attend this one. This shit should be interesting to say the least.

In other words it will be reer somaliland.
I get the feeling that reer puntland are the ones who are most looking forward to the conference and i wonder why that is.
Lets wait and see.

The British can only dictate to the Poor, any attempt to sideline Mogadishu or Garowe will backfire. For one Puntland seems to be sitting on the wealth of the entire nation so obviously wrong people to piss off. As for Reer Mogadishu that hold on the capital city will continue to make them irrelevant and very important to the future of Somalia.

No one will piss Puntland off because Puntland will be more than willing to share their loot with the west than with Somalis.
Personaly i think that oil well should be destroyed, for the simple reason that reer puntland are the least Somalis of all Somalia. They are no different than Ethiopia as they are power hangry and wouldn't think twice about selling the whole of Somalia
