postsecret was awesome for many many years but the app killed it. It all went to shit when the app came out last year. Its when people started posting twitter like, posting every single thing they were doing as a secret.

Yup. It was cool years ago, but it's novelty wore off after being diluted by crap. Reading the site now, I still find a bit of the actual postcards interesting.

I think they stopped posting the app entries on the site now. Seems like they're doing it the old way of just updating the site every sunday. I stopped going there when the app ruined both the site and their facebook page.

I stopped following the site some time ago, so I wasn't aware of the changes. But I could guess many of the "secrets" posted from an app were pretty childish and mundane. Not to a point a finger or anything, since I wouldn't have much of anything to contribute, being mundane myself

Dude you have no idea! it went downhill so fast with the app. Within days people were posting their private parts complaining about how unhappy they were with them
