You can say alot of bad things about Abdullahi Yusuf, but he was not corrupt, he was one of the few politicans in Africa who did not steal anything from the nation. He loved Power but not money.

I believe that religion is by choice and that being forced to practice is only going to make people hate it and create a lot fake Muslims. What ever people do is between them and Allah plus humans are never fair judges.

I agree with that; he was power hungry not greedy. Very much in the mold of Field Marshal Tito, Fidel Castro, Stalin, Mao, etc... brutal, power hungry dictators/leaders who never took a penny from the public purse. You can add Siad Barre too.

Anyways, I respect him more to being true to himself and not pretending to be what he isn't unlike the Talibani wannabes he never used Islam to mask his naked quest for power or wrapped himself in the Somali flag. So, repsect for his authenticity.

you can't force people to believe in something they already believe in.. Beside sharia law is not about forcing people into religion sharia is a guideline for the muslim ummah.
