Compare Habesha history vs Somali history - Habeshas win (more impressive empires, stone structures, classical era intercontinental trade, very ancient writing systems etc).

Compare Habeshas' current socio-economic situation vs Somalis' current socio-economic situation. Habeshas win again (Addis Ababa vs Mogadishu, enough said).

This arrogant Somali superiority complex over Ethiopians is totally delusional. I am just telling you how I see it.

Beenta iska dhaaf! Soomaali baan ahay.
Your the liar, what kind of Somali person would love Ethiopia? They are doing everything in their power to keep us down and would love nothing more then to take the rest of the Somali regions and have them divided up to become a part of Ethiopia and kenya and destroy us forever.

And btw there are many non Somalis (especially Ethiopians) these days who speak Somali. Learning how to write the language of our people doesn't make you one of us.

Another major myth, Somalis are keeping themselves down, but are blaming it on others. Just like arrogant people who can't face the truth would. No country wants to have a dysfunctional state as its neighbour. In fact, the only country that has an interest in a dysfunctional Somalia is Egypt in order to keep Ethiopia busy from achieving its dam projects.

They also beat us in their high STD epidemic. And I hear the prostitutes in the Ethiopian capital are too numerous to count so they also beat us when it comes to promiscuity.

Since you want to disscuss the things they're better at I kindly thought I'd help you.

Somalia doesn't even have any major roads built after 1990 and there is not a single building over 10 stories high. Talk about underdevelopment.. None of Somalia's universities publish in reputable scientific journals nor are recognised by them either, while some of Ethiopia's universities do. Not to forget there is massive foreign investment in Ethiopia, while in Somalia it's only just diaspora folk trying to help out but not major corporations.

Highly improbable. Zenawi has already divided the country up in major ethnic states with a high degree of autonomy. Nobody is going anywhere.

Ethiopia's a pure waste. Somalia's been stateless for 20 plus years yet people associate hunger, starvation, disease with Ethiopia more with Somalia.

That has more to do with the 1984 rock star "Aid" concert than any drought or famine associated since then - not to mention, all of the food crisis is happening in conflict zones currently being harassed by ONLF thugs. Ethiopia had the fastest GDP growth rate in Africa last year and they are making the biggest steps in infrastructure development. The highest dam on the planet is being built right now in Ethiopia, and . They are a very underrated country.

In 2002, Ethiopia's entire GDP was just $7 Billion, today its $30 Billion. Over 400% change in just 10 years! Ethiopia will be industrialized in less than 20 years, you'll see. You need to get past the old stereotypes and see what is going on across Africa.
