Their names also are generally derived from their Pagan ancestors: a list of the most common may be interesting to ethnologists. Men are called Rirash, Igah, Beuh, Fahi, Samattar, Farih, Madar, Raghe, Dubayr, Irik, Diddar, Awalah, and Alyan. Women's names are Aybla, Ayyo, Aurala, Ambar, Zahabo, Ashkaro, Alka, Asoba, Gelo, Gobe, Mayran and Samaweda.

Salool: You have obviously an inadequate comprehension of the topic. Burton describes his perception of Somali culture, origins and cohesions.

Abdisamad, spare us your cool aid. You should use Burton’s piece to make a defense. In fact, some of the issues he describes are heady in the Somali community. If you want to challenge some of his points do it; if you feel that you have nothing to contribute don’t it.

Ladylick, in Burton’s world any indigenous name is a pagan name since his knowledge is limited to Muslim and Christian names.

This is a challenge to you;
Outline your disagreement with him. Just calling it BS on simple grounds could validate his points. He makes some compelling points and exaggerate others. You must be the blind kind who cannot stand scrutiny

Lams the reason he was so anti women of any race is because he was a closet faggot as well as a peado that liked little boys
As a matter of fact his contemporaries looked down on his strange behavior of measuring African native penis sizes
