Quran is fairly small in size, it's not that big at all. I just haven't read it all in a language I understand
With the fact that you haven't fully read the main holy text of Islam? Don't mean to put you on the spot bro, but it's something that's always intrigued me when people say that.In my heart of hearts ive always accepted that Islam is perfect in every aspect and if i couldnt understand something it was due to my follies and not my diins.
Have you read the entire Quran in a language you UNDERSTAND?

I tried in Somali/English.It felt awkward and weird and i doubt i understood much of it.It was not the whole Quran.

I couldn't find anything about mandatory hijabs, beards, or circumcision among other things.Alphanumeric wrote:Muslim practices? Which exactly? Because I've come across prayer, fasting, charity, pilgrimage, abstinence, honourable behaviour, etc.

Well, I know hijab's in there. I don't remember coming across the others.shaab_ wrote:I couldn't find anything about mandatory hijabs, beards, or circumcision among other things.Alphanumeric wrote:Muslim practices? Which exactly? Perhaps you should take a look into the books of Hadeeths.

Nope, there are only some verses endorsing 'modesty' for both men and women but it is never explicitly stated that veils or beards are mandatory.Alphanumeric wrote:Well, I know hijab's in there. I don't remember coming across the others.
The hadeeths were written/corrupted several hundreds of years later somewhere in Central Asia. The Quran should be the primary source.Alphanumeric wrote:Perhaps you should take a look into the books of Hadeeths.

^^ Quran is the primary source, but you can't just leave the hadiths behind, they play a very important role in Islam

I'm doubting you actually read it.
