Yeah, precisely. Its easier to explain if are familiar with all four tones in Chinese Mandarin.

Anyways, I'm bored. My attempt at explaining.

 I wasted my time recording an explanation. Nice one .

 ah fuck it. I'm probably tone deaf or maybe the circumstances are affecting my intonation, but trust me there's a difference.

I could just make the slight difference though. You should have emphasized the feminine one a bit more sort of like (shadda on the 'n' when reading quraan ) Good job :D

Tuba, yeah you're right. Should've put more emphasis on the second n.

Sara, Gaadhi and Gaadh although spelled the same have way different pronunciations . I'd probably go as far to say car = gaari instead of gaadhi.

Yeah? I've never heard that pronunciation before. But in any case the 'aa' sound in the 2 words are different. The aa in gaadhi as in car sounds like the a in car whereas in gaadh it's like the a in cat.

Basali=pink. Onions=basal. Onions are mostly pink, hence the word basali

Jareer - Jar means cut/sever. Reer is family/clan. Therefore your family severs all ties with you if you marry a jareer.
Is it only me or the main point of this thread was about those two lines?

Nice on, abdi.ismail!
