Guys isnt it obvious ?

Egypt was a civilization with influence spanning continents .
We are discussing this topic in english, and many of you are culturally westernized, are you werstern?

Our ancestors the kushites and the ancesters of the egyptians lived side by side they bordered each other in the region that is khartoum today.

The kings of upper egypt conquered and united the two egypts and went on to form Egyptian civilization.

It makes sense that we shared common cultural traits BEFORE egypt was egypt, when it consisted of small villages, semi nomands and nomads.


This cultural similiarity will be reinforced by the cultural influence and pull that Egypt had on its neighbors .
So do not be surprised that the Fula, the Yoruba and several chaddic groups claim Egyptian inheritance .

At the height of Egypt you had people as far away as crete and Mycene and other Island in the Agean, and Palestine/Syria that spoke Egyptian as the international language of learning , trade and diplomacy.
People adopted Egyptian dress, borrowed egyptian words into their languages.

You had Solon the Law maker of Athens, the one who reformed their laws that spend 20 years in egypt and spoke egyptian.

Gurey i think for us it is psychologically more damaging to assume we had a civilization and then reverted to nomadic life then us claiming that our not so distant kin were able to advance to such techonological heights that we may one day exceed thus.

Just as in sports the East africans share ability for long distance running, let us look upon egypt as the potential that our people can attain as opposed to have had and lost.

We have a similar potential and that surely is encouraging

I did not make an indictment on the nature of origins or uniqueness of the similarity nor of the direction with which the similarities influenced, whether Somali to Egypt or Egypt to Somali. I merely sought to record all the similarities we could find controlling for all other socio-politico-cultural inferences.

Hargeisa is located in the interior, and from what I read, the ancient kemet visited only the coastal areas of Puntland.

Wats striking about egyptian ciilization is its minute influence on its african neighbours.
everywhere else great civilization tend to influence their neighbours;
except for north sudan, which was part egypt, no where is to be seen any ancient egyptians civilizational influence.

for instance the minute south yemen civilisation had as offshoot, axum and several ethio-eretrean kingdoms.

This makes me believe, that africa was not major trade partner of ancient egypt, neither their concern!

There tends to be a tendency in horn of africa to to claim foreign origin which undermines the a Genesis of a people

I believe somalis are not from ancient egypt but they both are part of a greater civilasation, which the ancient Egyptians represent the pick of that civilisation
the reason current Egyptians don`t look like ancient egyptians lies in their dna, because the people nila/juba civilisation have wick DNA and you can see thise in modern somalis when they marry foreigners.

in order to understand nile/juba civilisation you have to compare it with turkic civilisation, greater Iranian civilisation, Semitic civilasation and indus vally civilisation

what we call cushitic people encompisese broader peoples which some sections have adopted semetic language and they have intermarried with foreigners like the egyptians who mixed with hyksos semitic people, arab Semitic peoples, roman and Persians (invading soldiers, mainly males)

the somalis are 1 tribe in a larger race which the egyptians are like the persians ( remember the persians are 1 section of greater Iranian peoples)

the somalis are primitive cousins of ancient egyptians and we are in stage 1 while the ancient egyptians in their own time reached level 10, but the thing that should give you a sense of self-worth without claiming another man’s glory is that somalis have same atributes that is required for greatness so.

somalis have great ability to archive big things if they find harmony in their society and become a collective force. the answer lies in combination of religion for authoritive legitimacy like ancient egyptians and the peoples sense of purpose, pyramid building had great social effect because that used keep social cohesions and gave the people sense of purpose, 77 and somaliiwayn did that for us for a short time.

There is one member on this forum that posted their pic that was identical in facial proportions.

The mere fact of our looks alone tells a lot---if u observe the surviving statues of the Egyptian women royals--their long qalaango necks and beauteous face features-- u would instantly recognize the average Somali. (male and female) So I guess, if we do come from them-- we have inherited their best genes. Egyptians men tend to be ugly tho.
