One of the opponent will be limited to the west although they might have access to other areas but it will not be wise to attempt to transport weaponry through the Dhubato paved road as it is controlled by a rival opponent the same one who control the south and east checkpoints.Now the wars of the sea, this where Maydh,Sanaag with a port and airport comes in as it can act as the strait of hormuz in times of war as there is no clan east of one of the opponents in the coast apart from Warsangeli. Maydh can serve as the strait of hormuz by enforcing economic blockade on any oil ships or cargo ship carrying weapons heading towards the west or going to the east while launching missiles greater than the range of Hizbullah of Lebanon's Iranian missiles into opponent areas from the warships based in the coast.The port can serve as a base where weapons destined for the allies can be docked from and taken by plane to the various destinations of the allies. So yh it is economically beneficial in peace times and also a advantage in warfare times.
