My Great Grand father & Grand father were the Caqiils & Nabadons of Darood in Muqdisho, Ofcouse Abgaal lived in the town because they were close to it, but they were not as many as today most were nomads.

Well there is no way the population of the city was as much as it is today after all Somali oo dhan were not even 5 million and Xamar was not as big but we have been the Majority of the city for centuries now and if you go North, South, East or West of the City we surround it

in 1977 Somalis were 3 million. Imagine the Population of Muqdisho in the 20s? Xamar was controlled by Somalis but in 1800s it became under Zanzibar Somalis were mostly Nomads! others made up a large part of the population While Abgaal was the biggest Somali subclan, then the Italians came in 1900s the city opened up but there was segregation then independence came and in the 1960s 70s & 80s there was a mass migration to Xamar from every Somali sub-clan. but sadly today it an only Hawiye town.

Last time i saw adeer caade gabow he was leaving Dubai on his way to Minneapolis but now is back in Xamar, as for Duqa Xamar i have a hunch who it will for but for now will keep it to myself
