don't believe what you read on wikipedia. as far as i know, hyenas in somalia eat other animals. they are just like lions, cheetahs, crocodiles etc.

The striped hyena is omnivore, not purely carnivore. The other type, the spotted hyena, is carnivore, therefore its meat is haram. If you don't trust Wikipedia, do you trust sheekh Umal? 'Cause there's a recent video where he explains how the striped hyena's meat is halal.
