why girls waste their time and money going to UNI? after high school, the girl should get married and look after her kids, clean home, cook and make her husband happy. that's the perfect wife.

What if you die? Who will support her then? This selfish thinking really needs to end. I see so many mothers doing bacmushtar to support their families when the husband leaves or dies and I feel really bad for them because I know they would have loved an education.

Miskeen I think that it has been proven that Somali men ( a good portion) like to sit around, eat, chew, and sleep. When it comes both to work and education, Somali girls have done an excellent job. There are more Somali girls going to college these days, so I'm wondering why my fellow brothers are failing to become educated men that could provide for their future wives.

Your opinion is neither Islamic nor one that is realistic. Riziq comes from Allah, however, one should tie the rope then put their trust in Allah. Muslims are encouraged to learn and seek higher education. If a woman wants to work, then she is allowed to do so in Islam. Khadija *(RA) was a business woman. I really don't see the point of your posts.

Again, not every woman is married to likes of you and some are not even married. I do not recall the Prophet (PBUH) stopping any of his wives from working. A man needs to have a valid reason to stop his wife......barking orders like a dog is not the characteristics of a Muslim man.

Another faraax trying to corrupt the principles of Islam so he could boost his male-ego.

Like usual, jump from one failed argument to another, while you haven't even learned from your pervious arguments.

I would LOVE to go to the Hajj with my father.... :D

gedo_gurl wrote:FAH I really didnt expect that from you. You are generation Y not flight 13. Most of the Somali girls I know were 'corrupted' by other Somalis, I didnt think you'd fall for that flight 13 syndrome, you should understand society better.

PO - What can I say, my parents let me go wherever I want as long as its adding something to my life. I've travelled to learn languages, visit friends, find job opportunities and attended universities abroad...I even travelled to Somalia on my own. I think its because I have proven survival skills. I'm never broke, I never fail in my duties and people can rely on me to fulfil a promise. If the girl is flaky and her family know she is easily influenced, they probably wont let her out of their sight. Have a good look at all the successful young Somali women around you, they arent the type that suffer fools gladly and they are probably intimidating to be around. I was always told that if I gave birth I'd probably chew the umbilical cord off. The soft girls get left at home.
you can be a successful educated female(of any background)....without being a ball-busting b!tch........not that i'm saying you're a ball-busting b!tch.
