shouldn't you be asking how many girls can afford maids in the first place. unless one marries a chef, i don't see this as an option in the Somali world

no hun, we are not talking about affording a maid, but the wifey maid...the one that would treat her husband like a KING...for a king's ransom of course.

Walaahi there seem like there is a big misunderstanding. These ghetto women are so used to seeing good for nothing men, whether it is their former husbands or fathers who do nothing other than chew khaat the whole night and sleep on the day so they are led to believe all men are like that. Hence they saying the household work should be shared equally. In that regard they are right, it should be shared but if a guy is capable of financially providing for his family you can't expect him to wear your baati and get him in the kitchen.
you're right, sharing of household chores is definitely abstract and subject to each couple and their dealings with each other, if she wants to cook for him, good if he wants to cook for her, even better.....but what i have a problem with is women who refuse to afford this issue a spec of rational thought and use the argument to polarize her value as a woman and her equal taking in the relationship. its like getting a man to cook for her is the pinnacle of her feminist endeavor cuz she's got career and can bring home the denereos...feminism is reverse psychology at its best to get more females heads to levy in the workplace.

 Fah, I don't think so. I'm 19 years old. Meaning, I was born in the 90s. I don't think this chick is 24 years old (24 year olds don't talk like this). Better yet I don't think anyone here except for maybe you, me, areesa, abukar s and a couple of others are under the age of 30. Andddd, that's being generous.
