Only time I traveled alone was on a flight that lasted less than 2hrs.

I like to travel alone, meet new people, and pretend I'm the Doctor.

i think ive done most of my travels alone.
you have more of an adventure and meet allot of interesting people on the road.
but las my lonely travels are over, now i travel with wife and child
less frequently of course.

Re: Taking Trips By Myself
I've never tried it but I think I will have to do that a lot in the future, considering the line of work I want to get into. I love going to the cinema alone or to shop alone, it's liberating and I need some me-time every now and then.
To each their own but I just feel sorry for people who automatically say "loner" or "pathetic" whenever they see or hear about someone going out alone. It makes me wonder what sort of insecurities they may have that makes them so co-dependent that they can't even leave the house by themselves. Like, damn, get some self-esteem.

it's 1550 km between doha and mecca. normally, i go after isha, i like driving night. if you leave 10 pm. you will be in pass al ehsa, riyad then alta'ef then mecca. if i do none stop i can be in riyad by 5 am , so is 7 hours. them i take hotel room , them i drive after aser. then by around 2 am you can be in mecca. so give or take, the whole go will take 2 days and same back. but i step twice.Shirib wrote:It's weird mate, you're a weirdo, get yourself checked out.

Never. In fact here in couple of months I'm scheduled to go few days for a work conference and I'm nervous about it. I hate being alone.Murax wrote:Something I can do, and even like to. Am I the only one, or does everyone here have to go with people?

Ismahan wlc back!

I think I"m self absorbed then. I really like My own company. At the same time I went on two trips with friends, and one by myself this year and really enjoyed myself. I guess theres benefits and drawbacks to both. I'm sure for Women though, they'd hate to go places alone.

Re: Taking Trips By Myself
Thanks Murax. I've been around on and off
I suppose it's good to have your own space and time to reflect. Personally my trips have always been either with family or friends, and I'm used to constantly being around people. I even hate to eat alone. Also as a female I just think it's unsafe to travel alone lol
