No, I think he was right. His sister committed sin but they were talking about her disrespectfully. His friend committed sin too by engaging in that behaviour with her and in gossiping. No one should have to sit by idly and listen to their family member being gossiped about or objectified. He does not have to hide the identity of his sister because she is somehow shamed. She and that boy both committed sin so they are both shamed.

So I think he was right to say something.

It's nothing personal, he asked for an honest opinion, and I gave it to him, that's all. And if you have a problem with the way I write my post, then it's probably best if you put me in the ignore list so you don't have to see my posts like most people here, problem solved. OR mods can just go ahead and delete my account, either way is fine with me to be honest.

I don't find any reason to place you in my ignore list as many of your posts are enlightening or humourous. And the mods deleting your account seems drastic, in my view.

As there are forum rules, I just thought that all forumers were obligated to follow these rules. But as I'm beginning to see, they are neither enforced or followed. The post about the rules does state that members are expected to help the mods when it comes to inappropriate posts. I do not seek power nor do I assume that I have any, I'm just trying to do my part as an equal member here.

Every forum I've been on had rules that were enforced and followed. This is a place where people seem more strange in that they don't pay attention to the rules in the least bit nor is it enforced. I don't think that following or suggesting that rules be followed is taking things any more seriously than getting riled up by another forumer's comments and posting hateful comments in return. I'd say that is taking things too seriously...
