I think this is just a way to insult each other - I don't want to be seen with you. Which in actuality is insulting yourself because how can you feel proud of yourself having such a dirty relationship that you have to hide it? As a woman you'd probably start feeling like a hooker and as a man you'd feel like a waste of space because gold-digging aside what kind of a punk arse man doesn't look after his wife?

For the man, by all means, yes! But, for the woman? :?

I think this is humans at their core simplicity.

Two adults who want some action without the fuzz of responsibility or/and any attachments.

The dude is a student finishing school.
The chick is established with business.

They are both used to xalaal stuff that they highly desire.
Their mission is to satisfy one another with no strings atatched.

They think a WALI is not needed to give her away but are also unsure.

Both parties simply want to jiggy with it to lessen unpermisable desires.

Some sheykhs just need a pretty penny and they won't ask questions. Also, a divorced woman doesn't need a wali, not that it would matter since they're hiding the marriage anyway.

if i was an enterprising shieck, i would set up an online qudbo siro website, where for a fee, the divorced, the desperately horny but morally/religiosly inclined can marry for a night or more and sign a strict contract where no emotional, financial attachments can be expect from the marriage. maybe call it qudbo siro.com or xalaax.com

unfortunately im a lazy shieck.

Yes! The Hadith of our prophet clearly states a nikkah without a wali is invalid.
