Diet affects hair growth, so does climate, genes doesn't mean everything. Well except height now that's a deal breaker.

Sman, i'm much like you. my beard didn't come on until i was late. but then, i was short in high school & and so i was what they call "a late bloomer".

just make sure you trim the sides, and take it easy on the skin as you may get breakouts if you cut your beard too often.
