The thing is, you are not suppose to eat very much or very often. Like if oodkac/muqmad is made, my mom would not let us eat more than a few spoon fools a day. I use to think it wasn't enough but my mom treated it as a delicacy rather than a meal. We ate it as a light breakfast with tea. So unless you are eating it like it's bariis, then you shouldn't have to worry about any adverse health affects.
