Your politicians annexed Somaliland and they hijacked the parliament of the Somali republic. MP's from Somaliland had only 33 seats while MP's from Somalia had 123. They also failed to address the economical inequality. That made us realize who the real enemy is.. Not the average faarax in Xamar trying to make a living for himself and his family but the political elite in Somalia.

Then address this problems with your brothers. Lets open dialogue and make peace. Lets look for a solution and answers. Why should we go to Ethiopia to have dialogue. Why should Ethiopia speak for you and speak for me?

How do you know my politicians will not admit historical grievances you guys are hurting from? When you guys refuse to take part in any Somalia conferences or peace conferences. How can we hear you guys when you guys are refusing to talk?

Many people in Somaliland condemned the Ethiopian invasion including MP's in Somaliland's parliament for example Faisal Cali Waraabe. If we rejoiced in your death and destruction we wouldn't have opened our homes for you. To this day people from southern and central parts of Somalia live in Somaliland. In places like Hargeisa, Burco, Boorama. On the contrary when our people were fleeing to Xamar in 88, they were called "Xabad Keento". Godane was already active in Somalia. The youth who left Somaliland to fight the Ethiopians had nothing to do with Shabaab and Dahabshiil was already huge prior to 2006.

Faisal Cali Waraabe hurt us during the height of the occupation by saying that a child from Addis Abba is closer to him than a child from Mogadishu. Honestly it really pains me to talk about this, I hope BuuloXubeey can understand where I am coming from.

That's bullshit. Faisal said a child from Kilinka is closer to him than a child from Xamar but that's because Faisals own family hails from that region. It's like a Degodia man saying a child from Wajer is closer to me than a child from Bosaaso. No big deal, Somali media just tried to stain Faisals name.

That's the whole problem. Somaliland despite being a country that gained independence June 26 1960, is somehow still being treated as a region within Somalia. Your politicians had 30 years to fix the problems that lead to the disintegration of the Somali republic but they didn't. I don't understand why Somaliland is wasting time, just put all the facts on the table and let the international community mediate. The peace talks are for the different factions in Somalia, Somaliland is a separate country.

Dude this is a discussion of Ethiopian successful division of Somali nation. Similar to how Somalis were colonised at first through divide and rule. It is even shameful for you to believe British Somaliland or Italian Somaliland are countries but infact regions created by the white men to rule over us. It is embarrassing and humiliation to reclaim a region that was created by a white men.

Why should we Somalis listen to international community? Why you lowering yourself? Where is your dignity and Islamic principles?
