I think it's a growing older thing. The older the person the more anti crazy family they become.
Growing up = getting cynical + loving calm so you can sleep more often, longer and more peacefully

No exceptions?
Drug addict siblings/parents, rude and intrusive etc
Well if she has drug addict siblings/parents that has nothing to do with her as long as she isn't like that, if her parents are intrusive they are more than welcome to hear the noises coming from the bedroom.

How do couples decide who what parents live with them. Like when the parents reach old age and need care?

I think it's important not to judge someone on the faults of other associated with them. Also, if you do intend to marry a woman; try to make sure you're on your best behaviour and act a gentleman regardless of if you like them or not. Respect is key - no one is asking you to live with them, in somali culture anyway the girl is left to be with her husband and his family in most cases peacefully. Although the man will be in contact with the womans family, but it is with clear barriers. As long as you behave, work hard, support, give your wife independance - nothing bad will come of it - infact your inlaws will love you and set you up as the benchmark. Just don't be a wasteman.
As for the womans male relatives being a bad influence - why should it matter, they will have no contact with you to begin with, unless you want to. They generally under our customs should never intefere with your relationship because it is taboo. Female relatives on the otherhand is a given, and just follow my steps above.
