Why? Because of pride and vanity? Such qualities are to be blamed of why somalis are so low as they are.

Precisely Zubeir! National pride and vanity, not clan sentiment.ZubeirAwal wrote:Why? Because of pride and vanity? Such qualities are to be blamed of why somalis are so low as they are.

Politics, Language and Thought: The Somali Experience By David Laitin pp-121The Majerteen saw themselves as the backbone of the Somali struggle for independence. They looked down on the Marehan as "Bush People".
true !!!! these people struggle learning the Quraan, arabic language is more easily spoken by a Rer Miyi Somali than Pakistani Arabic language professor.Cherine wrote:Waayeel,

The sad thing is, the only people they looked down on was you.
Their point of pride was freedom fighting and not enslaving others as you'd like to portray, and ironically they only people they did look down on in that reality was you and not anyone else.Adali wrote:Who ? what are you ? too many multi-nickers in this place, its hard to tell who is who, but you stink of dhaboyaco/hutu cross breed.Fall wrote:Adali wrote: well that is why Hutus are the only ones to have been enslaved by Majerten, Hutu daboole.

Majerten look down on me, is this suppose to be an insult ? what mountain must you climb inorder to look down on a son of Sade.I rather be a Bush people(Rer Miyi) my entire life, herd my camels, read my Quraan, kill my enemy, than have any association with the Mijeerteeni pimps who sell their daughters to perverted Italian men whiles carrying them on their head serving their gaal master as a obedient subject, that is what you are my friend, let us not lose sight of the reality.
