I love the mythological view some morons on here have of the previous regime. I can't even call it selective memory but total hallucination. They seem to conveniently forget that Somalia was on life support by the end of afweyne's regime. It was living on handouts from the soviets and the US, it had little to nothing in the way of an economy, it had massive levels nepotism where talented and smart individuals were either neglected or hunted and replaced by illitaterate clan yes-men and it had just gone through a needless and destructive war with it's neighbour just to steer all these realities away from the spot-light and attention of the people.
