I don't think so. When the plane is taking off, you're suppose to turn off your cell completely. Some people keep their cells off for the entire flightSummerRain wrote:What happens when phones are on airplane mode? Do they ring?
The fact that some cell phones are still ringing is sketch!Arabman: Do you own a cell walaalo?

You need to stop your assumptions and also your stupid conspiracy theoriesThuganomics wrote:Some people are so obsessed with SL,they won't miss any opportunity to insert it to even the most obscure subject.
As for this plane there's no mystery. It crashed somewhere in the vast ocean. The reason they keep it in the media is because they don't want to deal with the other subject at. hand. The Crimea. Where they took a gamble at seizing the black sea port from Russia and failed.
Kulaha every thread

Contrary to urban myth, HSM do not shun technology. There's a recent article about a HSM governor and his iPad. While some people are speculating about the ringings, tech experts have already explained the possibility even while the phones are shut down.Lillaahiya wrote:Arabman: Do you own a cell walaalo?
In addition, not all phone technologies/carriers are similar. With some, you can disable voicemail, program it to connect to another number or virtual number (like Gvoice), continue to ring even when phone is off, etc.9. What about reports that passengers' cell phones continued operating after the flight's disappearance?
When phones are disabled or turned off -- which would presumably happen after a plane crash -- calls to those cell phones go directly to voice mail. Friends and loved ones of the missing passengers, however, reported ringing when they called. Technology industry analyst Jeff Kagan says a call would connect first to a network before trying to find the end user, and the ringing sound callers hear masks the silence they would otherwise hear while waiting for the connection to be made.
"If it doesn't find the phone after a few minutes, after a few rings, then typically, it disconnects, and that's what's happening," he said.

What really struck me the most is that people are actually praying for the safe return of the jetliner from wherever it disappeared to. Is this crazy?
That is very crazy, not only to think there are any survivors on a plane that is most likely buried on the bottom of the ocean for more than a week but to expect the plane will return.
War gaaladan aniga wee iga yaabiyan and when I say Gaalo I am talking about all of them Chinese, Yankees, Europeans, Majeerten, Hindi, you name it. Sometimes they are too unlogical. There are no survivors in that plane so stop fuckin' dreaming. And stop even dreaming on a grand scale by hoping the plane will return. Let's find the wreckage of that plane.
My theory is that America bombed that plane into dambas (ashes) while it was flying for whatever reason.

Jam,
But don't u think this flight, crashed or otherwise, is different, strange, mysterious?....and amidst all of this there's that hard to kill thing called hope.
If u were to think outside the box what else do u think happened? Come on, join me "out there" and give me a stranger than fiction theory
I'm like Fox Mulder, "I want to believe"

I think this missing plane would get just as much buzz regardless of politics. This isn't a Laci Peterson type front imo.Thuganomics wrote: As for this plane there's no mystery. It crashed somewhere in the vast ocean. The reason they keep it in the media is because they don't want to deal with the other subject at. hand. The Crimea. Zulaika
Ohh yeah, that plane has either crashed in mid air or the almost very impossible (but still possible) has happened; which is that the plane has fallen from the sky without breaking into pieces and sunk into the bottom of the ocean. In either of two cases, there are zero survivors. Let's accept reality and I will say May Allah rest the dead in peace.
Now, some might argue if the plane has crashed in mid air how come we haven't seen the wreckage? And my response to that is: motherfocker's KEEP CALM because the ocean is twice the size of the earth and so it is not going to be easy.

Jam,
I know, but still though, something about this that I can't lend wholeheartedly to inevitable reality...I just can't

I heard, so sad.... The airline confirmed plane is "lost" and all are "presumed" dead.. Reminds me of a tv show I used to watch.SummerRain wrote:It's official, all lives are lost.
