My dear friend from the looks of it you have been on a number of blind dates. Tell me, how was it? How was it having an unknown woman at your pleasure combined with an unknown ending of the night?
Is Madaaxey none other than Jaalle Marx? I assume we will never know.

Ok saaxib. Thanks for the review.

I am not afraid of going on a blind date/ or simply meeting as long as my date/cyberfriend and I are frank about our ages, our professions, our physical features etc.

The problem is this; many people tend to lie about everything on cyberspace: they assume that they will never meet the other person..

I would certainly not mind meeting - friendly- with some characters from the cyberworld. Imagine having a cup of coffee with some characters from this forum.

Nice read as always.

I didn't like the part were the fat guy runs to her and kisses her. It killed the story for me, She should've ran for her life the sec she saw the whale advance towards her. j/k

Deeqoy,

I have been busy lately. Here comes a short continuation of the story.

It was clear that Mulki’s mention of the word ”aboowe” was one of politeness. The events of the last minute were unplanned. Everything that was said and done were impulsive and unintentional.

Ii waran Mulki? He asked

Nabad Somali-King replied Mulki.

Just like a drunkard, Mulki could not differentiate between reality and fiction. Cognitively, she was in a chat room chatting with a stranger. She had forgotten that this was real life.

“Maasha Allah! You are as beautiful as I imagined” he said putting his hand around.

She shrugged as if saying “war I daa”

He got the message and took his hands off her.

He told himself that this is a typical behaviour of Somali women; suuro and xishood. Somali women, he reminded himself will never express their feelings, specially, good feelings.

The cyber world is one thing and reality is another thing. Cyber persona is almost the opposite of real life.

But, there is no need to give up. He found himself saying “ koleey waad soo jilci” .

No one woman will travel 3 hours to meet a strange person unless they are expectations.

In his mind, Madaxeey was thinking about the next step. She was a little bit older and darker than he had imagined but still worth a short-term relationship.

It is simple he told himself. Book two rooms at the Radisson SAS near the airport and see how things turn out. Renting two rooms will send a strong message that he was not a rapist or that he wanted a hit and run.

Combined with respect, the two rooms will make her feel at home.

She was also engaged in her own thought process. He was not as she imagined. He was not exactly prince charming. He was shabby, old and fashion blind but there was something about him that was attractive. He had attractive eyes which portrayed wanting and longing, good teeth and used gesticulations to make a point as if he were a philosopher.

He is not that bad after all she concluded after a few minutes. Let us see how this develops. Everything depends on what he proposes to do.

Walaal, how was your trip? He asked

It went very well. How about your trip? She asked

Very well.

For a few seconds there appeared to be a standoff. Both of them did not want the other one to view him/her as talkative.
“So let us see, what are your plans in Copenhagen? I recall that you mentioned meeting an uncle” Asked Madaxeey

Within a second of asking the question, Madaxeey cursed himself. He f-king blew it. Now, she will play act and claim that she will meet her uncle in a few hours. He should have been frank with her, told her that they will book two rooms at the Radisson and spend the night together.

Fuloow guuli kuu dhoweydaa!

“ I am meeting my uncle and staying for a few days” she replied.

“Ok. Do you know where he lives? Is he meeting you? He asked unexpectedly.

Realising that he said those words, he almost said “ Gosh, I screwed the whole scheme. I am a loser”

“No. He is not meeting me. I told him that I would call him. I want to surprise him” she said.

What a blessing!

He heard an inner voice telling him “ tell her about the Radisson and the two rooms”

“walaal, I have a suggestion. We need to talk about many things. We need to catch up on several issues. Let us book two rooms at the Radisson” .

He emphasised “two rooms” .

“ Two rooms?” she asked mockingly as if to say "doqon yahow maxaad i mooday?".

There were two ways to interpret her asking “ two rooms?”. Either she preferred just one room or that she did not want to spend the night with him.

“yes, two rooms.” He replied. He wanted to add that even one room is fine with him but he stopped short of saying that.

A few seconds went by before she said “ mmmm…mmmm…”

To be continued

Deeqa, why? "Isn't two rooms" an insurance policy?.

P.s. what do you think about meeting someone you met on cyber space? not neccassarily for a date but for a chat.
