1. Sleep paralysis, I have heard that this is caused by anemia.
2. The second issue which Gurey mentioned is Jinn. People who suffer this need a lot of quraan saar. Anyone who is in England and suffers that thing should contact the young Sh. Cabdiqani Cali Mire, I have seen him in the TV...and in other places there are Sheikhs too. In Va we have a young Shiekh who help people with this problem.
What does the ritual of quraan saar involve? Does it involve drinking tahliil?

Arabman,

I am not honestly an expert on those things. But there are certain verses of the quraan that helps people who are under the attack of the jinn. I saw with my own eyes a group of people whom two shiekhs were reading quraan on them and one young girl, very young girl started shaking like she is under a spell. Then the two shiekhs read the quraan on her ears...They kept reading the quraan..and they did also few more times..and she got ok..They just read quraan on her..I don't know which Aayas. The girl used to suffer 'Fainting" now she is ok..but they warned her, if she stops praying the jinn may come back..

I always used to mock on Jinn and stuff until one day a friend of mine took me aside and advised me to leave the jinns alone.
she warned me " If they don't bother you, leave them alone".

When I was younger, there was this girl who wore a leather xirsi on her neck. I guess there was written verses inside the xirsi. Apparently, she would get obsessed if the xirsi is taken off her.
